H2 Grand Prix RWE European Championship in Groningen
Students and teachers from nine different European countries are coming to Groningen for the H2 Grand Prix RWE European Championship. This championship is organised by Alfa-college, Noorderpoort and Hanzehogeschool. From 19 to 21 June, they will host international teams for the H2 Grand Prix RWE European Championship where they will race against each other in the ice hall of Kardinge with hydrogen-powered RC cars.
Side Event
The event will also feature activities on energy and hydrogen on 21 June. Learning from and with each other plays an important role here. Besides the exciting race, children and young people from VO/PO – education can learn about energy and hydrogen. The event is made possible by a large number of partners and sponsors. Including the main sponsor RWE.
Programme
- 19 June: arrival with introduction, team performance, judging by judges and dinner. Location: Alfa-college Admiraal de Ruyterlaan Groningen;
- 20 June: open training and visit to New Energy Forum. Location: Zernikelaan 17 Groningen;
- 21 June: Race and Side Event IJshal Kardinge. Location: Kardingerplein 1 Groningen.
Horizon Hydrogen Grand Prix
The Horizon Hydrogen Grand Prix offers students from secondary vocational, intermediate and higher vocational schools the chance to convert electrically powered RC model cars into hybrid hydrogen-powered vehicles. This challenge culminates in an exciting endurance race, where the endurance of the cars is key.
